Literature Text

 We dance like moonlight
clinging to the surface of the sea -
like sunshine on a cloudy day:
    a beautiful anomaly.
Wake up, look here, get lost in
a whirlpool of incessant color -
a gruesome rainbow, born
    of white noise.
 My burgundy lullaby is
flimsy at the seams;
your voice turns shallow melodies
into the gold-plated dreams
of fishermen that fly far away
only to return every time
the oceans weep their
foolish, crystalline tears.
 Smile once for me and
set fire to the skies.
Our fragile world sits on
a bed of molten lies
two thirds colossal hatred,
one fourth broken hearts
scattered among stars
that boast two percent the hope
    of Pandora's box.
 Smile for me twice
to hear the rainclouds sing -
to drink their blessed dreams
of wisdom, space and everything
that sends the universe
tumbling into love with a God
that may not know nor care
of its well being anymore...!
Smile for me one last time
    so I may smile back.
more spoken word - this one's actually older:  last year.
written with no intention for it to be analyzed - I liked the way the words sounded.
that is just about all there is to it.
